Phase One – Co-Design

Participants’ voices are one of the main pillars of our project, with their experiences shaping the programme’s development and design. The project aims to improve the mental health and well-being of first responders, their family members, and close friends.

While this improvement will positively impact the community, it will also potentially create a positive impact on first responder organisations. To capture the views of the various participants outlined, the project team host ongoing co-design workshops, where first responders, family members of first responders, and organisational representatives are invited to share their opinions and perspectives, where everyone’s voice was equal.

This co-design process informs several aspects of the project, including our project name, our training content, resources for participants, and support services tailored to the participants’ needs and preferences.
