What is expected from you?
This innovative and exciting project is about understanding first responders and their loved ones’ experiences of stressful incidents and how we best support each other during difficult times.
On our training day, family members and friends will discuss, learn and practise practical skills in engaging in supportive conversations, identifying signs of stress, and prioritising self-care using Psychological First Aid (PFA) techniques.
We are committed to continuously improving our training and ways to best support our community. To do so, we need to understand how our training has impacted family members, friends and first responders’ experiences before and after engaging in our training.
Family members and friends who participated in the training and their first responders will be asked to share their opinions before and after the training through one-to-one meetings, focus groups, and online questionnaires.
If you agree to take part in this study, we will ask you to share your opinion and experiences at three different time points:
- Before you take part in the training
- Directly after you take part in the training
- 6-9 months after you take part in the training
